Dr. Diana M. Leitner, MD is a fellowship-trained medical retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon. She graduated from Oberlin College with a degree in physics, and earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas. Dr. Letiner completed her internship at the University of Kansas-Wichita, and completed ophthalmology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania, where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Leitner completed her fellowship in Medical Retina at Duke Medical Center and her fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center. Dr. Leitner is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS). She specializes in both office-based and surgical care of the retina and vitreous, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, retinal detachments, uveitis and inflammatory eye disease.
In her free time, she enjoys handcrafts and camping. She is excited to be back in Wichita. Dr. Leitner provides care to her patients at the Hutchinson East, Maize Road, and Woodlawn locations in Wichita, KS.
